Towards optimal management of the axilla in the context of a positive sentinel node biopsy in early breast cancer

In a new article published in the December issue of the World Journal of Clinical Oncology, Professor Kefah Mokbel and his team from the London Breast Institute provide an up-to-date overview of the literature regarding the optimal management of the axilla when the sentinel node biopsy is positive in woman undergoing breast conserving surgery for early breast-cancer.

The authors have designed an algorithm to guide management based on level I evidence.
