Sky1 TV Documentary on Breast Cancer

Earlier this year, The Princess Grace Hospital, the London Breast Institute (LBI) and The Harley Street Clinic contributed to the filming of a two-part documentary series for Sky1 on breast cancer.

The documentary “My Breasts Could Kill Me” is scheduled to air on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th July, at 9pm on Sky1 and Sky1 HD.

The presenter Dawn Porter (British television presenter and writer) takes viewers on a personal journey; exploring her own genetic link to breast cancer. Both Dawn’s mother and great grandmother died from the disease in their early thirties. Dawn learns about preventative steps she could take to avoid her mother’s fate and has the opportunity to learn what help and support is currently available for women living with breast cancer.

Consultants, staff, patients and facilities across all three sites were integral in the filming of the documentary. It was a project which the both Hospitals and the LBI were keen to support; raising the awareness of breast disease and what treatments and preventative steps can be taken.

On behalf of The Princess Grace Hospital, the London Breast Institute and The Harley Street Clinic we wish to thank all staff, Consultants and patients who contributed toward the filming of this important and educational programme.
