Nipple-sparing mastectomy using a hemi-periareolar incision with or without minimal medial-lateral extensions; clinical outcome and patient satisfaction

Professor Mokbel and his team at the London Breast Institute have recently published their outcome data of nipple sparing mastectomy and immediate implant-based breast reconstruction in the American Journal of Surgery.  The authors have reported excellent subjective and objective assessment scores and an extremely low incidence of surgical complications and cancer recurrence. The patients were highly satisfied with the outcome of surgery and reported high quality of life of stores.
