Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)

Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)

FNAs are performed by using a small, thin needle attached to a syringe to either obtain cells from a breast lesion or to draw fluid from a cyst. This is performed during your ultrasound examination by the specialist breast radiologist.

Tissue and fluid samples gathered through the FNA procedure are analysed in our labs and results are available within 24 hours.
