Dr Wells qualified in 1977 from Cambridge University. He has worked at St Bartholomew’s Hospital as a consultant breast pathologist for 16 years. He is the designated Pathologist for the Central and East London Breast Screening Service, and is also chairman of the European Working Group for breast screening pathology. He has a highly renowned national and international reputation and is lead author for the European Guidelines for Pathology.
